Be a hero for Tilly!

Tilly was hit by a car in 2014 and Animal Aid rescued her from the street with a badly fractured leg. The bone was completely broken and coming out of the skin and her leg needed to be amputated. We had never amputated the leg of a goat before so we were very concerned, but the only other option was euthanasia, so we took a chance with the surgery. She made it through the hour-and-a-half long operation and recovered from the anaesthesia which was our biggest concern.

Over the next few weeks she learned how to walk on 3 legs, which is definitely not as easy for a goat as it is for a dog, but she learned how to adapt and today she is very active and strong.

She loves cuddles and is an absolute sweetheart, adorable girl.
