Two exciting positions to start your career

The Animal Welfare Officer and Volunteer Coordinator apprentice level roles are ideal for people with experience as well as those new to working in an animal shelter. These positions involve getting to know the ins and outs of caring for animals in our sanctuary, supervising caregiving staff, spreading awareness about animal welfare to visitors, and guiding volunteers. From these starting positions, there is vast room for growth leading all the way up to management level roles like the Animal Welfare Manager, Volunteer Manager, Rescue Manager and more. Volunteer Coordinator

This position is all about inspiring people to help animals, and creating meaningful experiences for our volunteers. You will give educational tours of the shelter to local and foreign visitors, guide volunteers, coordinate volunteer tasks, and spend time caring for the animals as well.

This position focuses on the health and happiness of the animals in our care. From doing regular health checks on our sanctuary animals, monitoring feeding, assessing behavior dynamics and guiding staff and volunteers.

I love animals but what if I'm not qualified?

Let us help you! These positions include on-the-job training, where you will spend ample time shadowing experienced staff members, learning the skills you need for the job.

The skills that you learned in your previous work (time management, team work, customer service, for example) will all directly apply to these positions.

Will I have time off to see my family if I'm not from Udaipur?

Yes! Candidates coming from outside Udaipur get extra time off to visit home and we encourage you to do so.

Will AAU help me find housing in Udaipur?

We are here to help you every step of the way from covering your relocation costs to helping you find your new home in Udaipur. We know that moving to a new city can be daunting so we are here to make it as stress-free as possible.
