We hurried him to the hospital and were relieved to find that he still had good sensation in his hind toes, which meant that his brain could still communicate with his feet through his spinal column. We comforted him, and his relaxed, beautiful smile gleamed back at us. He remembered! He’d been here before for an injury to his ear, and at that time we had also neutered him.
So for Herman, this might have seemed like just another rest-and-relaxation holiday. It took all 4 weeks of his enforced bed rest to regain his mobility, but when he finally stood, he acted like he wondered what all the fuss had been about! Meet this elegant angel now…
