He had no broken bones or evidence of internal injury. We brought him to our hospital and treated Auggie’s hypothermia first, with blankets, hot water bottles and a heated hydration drip.
All we could do is let the hours pass as his warming body absorbed the fluid and he realized that he was being caressed and kept close as his mother would have done, if he hadn’t been forcibly separated from her.
Auggie is still a little guy, with a lot of growing to do. Animal Aid will keep him until he’s a much stronger boy.
