The well was at least twenty feet deep and we don’t know how long Fawn had been laying there, desperately wounded, losing consciousness.

It must have seemed to her that she would never leave; that this would be her place of death. But someone saw her! Someone realized this sweet girl was alive! Thank goodness they called us. We rushed to the scene, and as carefully as we could, lifted her out of the pit. But saving her life was a process that had only just begun.
