For 25 years, Animal Aid has been rescuing and caring for thousands of street animals in Udaipur each year. Unlimited Unleashed is our campaign to build the next chapter — a purpose-built, world-class animal rescue center, hospital and sanctuary in Udaipur.
Construction will begin in October 2026, marking the start of a new chapter for Animal Aid and for the animals we serve.
Years in the making
For 25 years, Animal Aid has rescued and cared for Udaipur's sick and injured street animals. Every day, our ambulances respond to calls from people desperate to help an animal in need. Every year, our team treats thousands of animals suffering from injury, illness, neglect and abuse. But year on year, more animals need our help.
Our existing shelter operates on rented land with limited shelter and was never designed to support the scale of rescue work we do today. What began as a small rescue effort has grown into an organization of 150 staff members that rescues more than 15,000 animals every year.

To continue meeting the growing need for animal rescue and treatment, we need a purpose-built sanctuary that allows us to work more efficiently and care for more animals.
Through years of sustained fundraising, and after more than a decade spent searching for land that could truly serve the animals — we secured 31 acres of land for Animal Aid's forever home.
With your support, we'll begin building our new home in October 2026.
A new era of rescue
Unlimited Unleashed will bring emergency rescue, medical treatment, rehabilitation, sanctuary, education and training together in one integrated, world-class facility.
Designed to improve outcomes for animals while helping transform how street animals are treated in India, our new campus will support the scale and complexity of the work we already do, enabling us to care for more animals and provide every one of them with even better care.
The difference it will makeDesigned for every stage of care
It will include a hospital campus with standalone, temperature-controlled buildings for dogs, cats, puppies, cows, large animals and birds, plus a dedicated isolation hospital for dogs and puppies.
Recovery areas will give animals on the mend space outside their kennels, with off-lead areas and walking paths for enrichment and bonding. Sanctuary spaces for permanent residents will include a cattery, aviary, large animal pasture, and dedicated areas for disabled, elderly and special needs dogs.
There will also be spaces for community, school and volunteer groups, alongside a canteen and rest areas for our team.
