The old boy didn’t move. His eyes pleaded “Help me!” His pain and confusion were so extreme that he probably no longer could move.
We easily caught him and rushed him to our hospital for treatment–starting with pain relief. He was understandably inward–bewildered by his pain and being touched by so many hands–and yet, deep down, he seemed to realize we meant only kindness. Gradually we could see his eyebrows, his shoulders, even his toes began to relax. He ate with polite reserve, but he finished every morsel.
Razi means “contented” in Urdu, and this was our goal–to give elderly, dear Razi a life of contentment, without pain, without fear. Meet Razi now, a soft, cuddling gentleman!
