Motorists saw a dog get hit by a car and alerted us immediately. 

The dog lay lifelessly on the median as traffic rushed by and people gathered around the unconscious but breathing figure. When our rescuers lifted him, he didn’t even flinch.

But within the time it took to reach our hospital, Trooper had regained consciousness though he was in terrible pain. We saw no open wounds, but discovered on examination that both his front legs were fractured.

We had to place him in two splints and confine Trooper to “bed rest” for a month, which in order to save this amazing boy. Meet Trooper now! We’re pretty sure he thinks it was all “worth it!
