Whatever the cause, Matilda would have soon died without rescue. Her absolute stillness at the scene of our rescue told us the kind of pain she was in. Paralysing fear surrounded her.
We hurried her to our hospital and immediately began her treatments: pain medicine, antibiotics and her first thorough cleaning of the wound and the area around it, followed by bandages. This would be part of Matilda’s daily routine for more than a month.
Her incredible progress started almost immediately and by 3 weeks, it’s hard to believe how small the wound has become. But even greater changes take place when, by the end of this video, you get to meet a frolicking, feisty little nutter! Yep, it’s Matilda! Have fun on this roller coaster ride.
