Perky’s condition was serious following a small puncture wound causing nerve injury.

His momma was so caring, she genuinely seemed to be trying to encourage him to be brave when we gently placed Perky in a basket to bring him to our hospital.

We treated him for pain and inflammation, and finding no fractures or wounds, determined that bed rest was what Perky managed to stand and eat on his own! His progress was steady and oh so sweet to see. Meet playful Perky now!
