Baby was abandoned on the road by his owner.

A bull calf is usually worthless to a dairy farmer, and though most bull calves perish in other ways, some are cast onto the road. Baby didn’t understand traffic and probably stood innocently in the road as a motorist flew by, smashing into his face.

His wounds were deep and serious. We were not sure if he would be able to eat; if he would have the will to eat. He’d need extra loving care to brighten his spirits enough to pull through. Our wound dressings were not just a time for treatment, but also a chance to reassure Baby. He bonded immediately with other animals in treatment, and when he healed, the sunshine broke through! Meet sweetheart Baby now!

Someday the whole world will understand what you already know: all animals are precious.
