Great dane-cross Sheebu is a big boy with big energy to match!

Around 2 years old, Sheebu is an excitable dog who loves to play. He would need a home with plenty of space where he can run around and expend some energy. Handsome Sheebu likes to get his own way and can be a bit of a handful – he will definitely benefit from a patient adopter with experience of big breed dogs.

Sadly, Sheebu came to us from a volatile home situation and as a result he can be untrusting of new people. It is essential that anyone hoping to adopt Sheebu would be willing to visit him first at our shelter and build a rapport with him. Once Sheebu gets to know you, he will excitedly bring you his toys to play with – tug of war is his favourite game!

He is very food motivated which means that he can exhibit some food guarding behaviour and an adopter must understand how to manage this. However, his love of food also means he is very responsive to training, and he has already mastered “sit” which he loves to show off when there is the chance of getting a biscuit in return! Sheebu would need to live in a home without any children. Despite his challenges, Sheebu is a goofy, loving dog who would be sure to make the perfect companion for the right person.
