But as we came closer we saw that she was breathing, though nearly unresponsive. She moved a little when we picked her up but wouldn’t open her eyes. We gently carried her into our ambulance, placed her in a little basket and brought her to Animal Aid. We found no fractures or external sign of injury but suspected she had suffered an injury to her head.
We treated her for pain, stabilized her with IV fluids and kept her warm and safe. By day 2 she was beginning to move a bit but remained completely disoriented and stuporous.
However, by Day 3, this little beauty dove into her food bowl and completely remembered how to eat. That’s when we knew she’d make it. Meet Twinkle now, after just one week!
