This is one of those “impossible!” wounds where swift rescue and surgical know-how saved a darling young little one.

We suspect that a passing motorcycle snagged hit her and ripped away a huge piece of skin at her neck.  As soon as her life-saving surgery was complete, we saw that little tail start to wag, and, basically, she didn’t stop wagging throughout her brief hospital stay.

How grateful we are to our donors that Maple got emergency help when she needed it.
