This beautiful street dog had a massive hole in his lower neck.

He was covered in blood and so was the ground all around him. We rushed him back to Animal Aid and brought him into surgery to prevent any further bleeding, but his condition was not stable enough to complete the full suturing. We stabilized him over the next couple of days and then were able to bring him back into surgery to close the wound. It was a difficult surgery but we managed to successfully close the wound and give every chance of healing.

He showed incredible vitality as soon as he awoke, and his recovery was nothing short of incredible. We thank you, our donors, for making his rescue and amazing recovery possible. We couldn’t do it without you. Meet Nico today!
