This girl’s eyes expressed pure anguish.

Neighbors reported that she couldn’t stand. She was clearly injured, but exactly what happened to her was unknown. When we arrived at the location, she was searching for relief in a puddle of water, unable to stand.

We suspect she had been hit by a vehicle and suffered an injury to her spine that had caused her front legs to buckle under her. We treated her for pain and placed her in a kennel for bed-rest to give her the best chance of recovering. When gentle hands cuddled her, a little light came into her eyes.

We understood then that for Sita, the medicine to heal her would be love. Meet beautiful Sita today!
