My rescue story
I was found roaming alone outside Udaipur. When people in the area were asked about me, they explained that my mother had died around a month earlier, leaving nobody to care for me. Part of my front left leg and paw was missing, leaving an open wound. We’ll never know what I’d been through while trying to survive on my own.
I was brought to safety by the team at Animal Aid and surrounded by people who cared for me. With treatment and bed rest, my wound healed without needing to amputate the rest of my leg. My missing paw hasn’t stopped me from being active and agile.
I’ve had to grow up without my mother but I’m ready now for a new beginning. What I need is a family who will give me the love, security and care I’ve been missing.
I’m ready to find my forever home.
Important notes
I’m missing a small part of my front left leg, including my paw, but this doesn’t stop me from being active and agile. I am very active and lift my stump off the ground when I walk so luckily I do not need bandaging or any kind of prosthesis.
I’m comfortable having children around me, but I would be happiest living in an adult-only home.
I can be selective with other dogs and need careful introductions.
Behavior
Around people: I’m playful, loving and full of happiness. I adore attention and once I’ve bonded with someone, I’ll enthusiastically jump up to greet them before settling in for a cuddle.
Around other dogs: I can be selective about my dog friends. Introductions to new dogs need to be slow and carefully managed.
Energy level: I have a balanced energy level. I’m a playful and agile girl despite my limp. I enjoy activity and play but also love spending quality time with my people.
